Maya connected their

numbers with gods.

Their 'godnumbers'

counted from 0-20.

The 'dot and bar signs'

before the gods show

the normal numbering.

 

 

 

Only 0 and 20 have

glyphs of their own.

Gods 14-19 were

almost repetitions of

gods 4-9; their glyphs

differ in that they have

the fleshless cheekbone,
